Photo: Peter Black Caught on barbs |
The beetle and toad pictured above, may well have been victims of predators rather than the fence itself. The beetle may have been put there by a bird for eating, and the toad perhaps thrown by a human onto the fence. It is unusual for cane toads to be that high off the ground. The koala has definitely been entangled on barbs though.
Photos of an African Rock Python (Python sebae) caught on an electric fence at the Silent Valley Game Ranch in South Africa.
The Rock Python is Africa's largest snake and eats mammals and birds. The snake had eaten a full grown impala ewe and caught itself in this electric fence.
